Btw my blogs are gonna be just stuff I share to others on email and stuff. so yeh enjoy!
I felt like sharing this great passage from the bible
Matthew 4:18-22 (New International Version)
The Calling of the First Disciples
18As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." 20At once they left their nets and followed him. 21Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, 22and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.If you read the verses, it is about Jesus calling his first disciples. While they were fishing, Simon and Peter were approached by Jesus one day who asked them to follow him. "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." They left and followed him.
The bit that stands out to me is the fact that Simon and Peter were just ordinary people- fishermen. It really says that Jesus can use ordinary people to do extra-ordinary things. In reality, we don't need to be a pastor or some preacher to do great things for Christ; just normal people with a willing heart to serve him!
Jesus wants you to follow him, so live worthy of your calling!
Btw those who were at 'Fungus' on friday when pastor Dennis Balcombe was speaking, it was truly an inspiring experience seeing the amazing passion that the Chinese people in China had for God. It really challenged me to step out of my comfort zone to the extension of God's kingdom, and especially reaching out to the lost/our friends.
God bless everyone!
Enjoy ur week!
