BOOYAH

Hi guys! its been ages since i last blogged. Dont worry, the blog aint quite dead yet, and I will bring it baack up :P

Btw my blogs are gonna be just stuff I share to others on email and stuff. so yeh enjoy!

I felt like sharing this great passage from the bible

Matthew 4:18-22 (New International Version)

The Calling of the First Disciples
18As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." 20At once they left their nets and followed him. 21Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, 22and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.

If you read the verses, it is about Jesus calling his first disciples. While they were fishing, Simon and Peter were approached by Jesus one day who asked them to follow him. "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." They left and followed him.

The bit that stands out to me is the fact that Simon and Peter were just ordinary people- fishermen. It really says that Jesus can use ordinary people to do extra-ordinary things. In reality, we don't need to be a pastor or some preacher to do great things for Christ; just normal people with a willing heart to serve him!

Jesus wants you to follow him, so live worthy of your calling!

Btw those who were at 'Fungus' on friday when pastor Dennis Balcombe was speaking, it was truly an inspiring experience seeing the amazing passion that the Chinese people in China had for God. It really challenged me to step out of my comfort zone to the extension of God's kingdom, and especially reaching out to the lost/our friends.

God bless everyone!

Enjoy ur week!

Sunday:
We were helping to raise money for a bushfire victim from our church, by selling lunch and food. hehe it was yummy! Straight after that, I went to one of my school friend's birthday party. Straight after that, I went to play soccer with Fungus peeps. I soo noob now! Straight after that, I went to Gab's bday in the Booth. He really should have brought a towel, in fact, several! We tied him to a pole and creamed his butt, then egged/vegimited him! hehhe funny as!

Being the tank he is, he broke free like the hulk, and attacked several innocent/not so innocent victims. We all ran for our lives hehe. The funniest part was shaun goh trying to hide in the toilet cubical, so gab didn't find him, but Gab went in there, and he was cornered, thus god PWNED!

Ahh so busy day! i is dead tired!!

Ambassadors of Christ

Ahhh Melbourne's weather has been sooo weird lately!! Bushfires last week, then really cold this week, it doesnt make sense lool. Yehhhh I feel sorry for all the peeps affected by the fires, and also one of my friend from my school- his house burnt down! gg!! Soz about that man

Well, as I was reading my devotionals, todays verse stood out to me. I was thinking about the way we present ourselves to other people. I reckon that the impression we give to others about Christianity, or even what society depicts it as- these all play a huge part in the way people see our God as.

As you know, every TV show or movie that has Churches in it, they all make it look sooooo boring and gay, but in reality, its not. We know that God is really great, so shoudln't we make him look good?

Peter 2 reminds us that people observe the way we live, and from that, make judgements about Christianity. Peter says, to be good representatives of Christ, we to live hounourable lives, do good works, to honour all people, and to fear God.

We were made to glorify God, so yaaahhh :)

One simple question: Do others see God in you??

Cya guys. oh yeh. Fungus launch this friday for 2009! woot

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Hey guys!
Wow today is the last day of my holidays, and i felt like blogging haha :D
The holidays have been sooo relaxing, as well as being productive surprisingly. Its been jam packed from the start to the end, and I am not too pumped for startign school haha!! i dunno why some of my friends actually can't wait to start school.... hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Well I was doing my 'quiet time', and this topic came into my head, and I felt liek sharing it.
I dunno wat the name for it is, so thats why the title of this post is 'hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm' haha!!

But I wonder what we do when we are stressed, or simply bored? Do we watch tv? Do we kill noobs on our computer game? Or do we read or listen to music? Well I dunno wat u do, but me, I probably killed noobs on my computer game. All these things are satisfying, but how long does that satisfaction last for? - not that long.

After you kill a noob, u feel like killing another one, then another and etc... Its almost like cigarettes or caffeine; you need more and more to be satisfied. I assume you probably know all this, or heard of it before, but the sheer purpose of this post is to remind us all that God satisfies our every hunger and thirst, and you'll never need anymore again.

I'm not just saying this cause its a fact, but I am saying this cause I've experienced it myself. When I spend tiem with God, it gives me this never-ending peace and joy in my heart- which I obviously don't get from killling noobs :)

Well anyway, God is GREAT!! I am not pumped for starting school to be honest, But I AM pumped for God to do GREATER things this year! Woot!! My equation:

Greater steps of faith = God doing GREATER things in your life!! booyaH!!

Bye shucks I got school tomorrow haha

Everything

Hi guys!
I think this is my first post in
Malaysia so far.
Lately, I been so busy that I really cant remember wat happened. I'll just highlight some main points:

(Btw just to warn u now, if u dun wanna read all of this, skip everything up to ‘New years resolutions”- tat is the most important bit :D )

Christmas:
I spent Christmas in
Malaysia this year, which was quite different, as I am usually in Melbourne at that time of the year. haahh Malaysian people don't really celebrate Christmas too much- the end :)

Singapore!
I went to
Singapore for the new year, to meet up with my cool cousins and relatives :D
We did so much stuff: from swimming, to annoying random old men, to even sharing our 'made up depression' with an innocent fast-food employee; what didn’t we do?

Penang!
For the last 4 days, I was in
Penang with some of the Fungusoids. We stayed right next to the beach, so it was really cool!
Some stuff we did:
eat lah!
Jet-ski/parasailing
Swimming
more eat lah!
Crazy bargaining at pasa-malam.

heheheh i just came back today, and I am seriously cant wait to sleep again! loL!! Many days of sleep deprivation doesnt work out for me... :D

NEW YEARs RESOLUTIONS!

The word 'New Years Resolutions' could seem like a complete joke to some people- they never seem to be followed.

I don't really set any real 'new years resolutions, but rather I set goals when I feel like I need to, and they just come to me.

Well lately, I been thinking of what I want to achieve this year. I came up with this: for God to REALLY be the CENTER of my EVERYTHING.

I look back over the year, and it appears that I have met my own goals (thankfully!)
I know it is a really hard thing to keep God in the center of everything we do, all the time. I know I may not achieve it all this year, but I want to get a start on it, and see a change in my life.

Influence from friends or even the world can falter us from putting God FIRST in whatever we do, so it is quite a big struggle for many of us.

The song 'Everything' by Tim Hughes really made me wonder what it would be like for God the be our 'everything'.

Tim Hughes Everything Lyrics
Songwriters: N/A

God in my living
There in my breathing
God in my waking
God in my sleeping

God in my resting
There in my working
God in my thinking
God in my speaking

Be my everything
Be my everything
Be my everything
Be my everything

God in my hoping
There in my dreaming
God in my watching
God in my waiting

God in my laughing
There in my weeping
God in my hurting
God in my healing

Christ in me
Christ in me
Christ in me the hope of glory
You are everything

Christ in me
Christ in me
Christ in me the hope of glory
Be my everything

Honestly, I am really pumped for the new year, cause I wanna see God more even more in my life this year! Woot!!

Cya and God bless!

Oh yah, remember the Fungus Motto “God in the center of all we do” – see how important it is? :D
