Awesome God

Heya guys! We must admit that our God is an awesome god! I kept those who couldn't make it to camp in prayer, and completely trusted that he would flip the whole situation around for some who were unable to come to camp- Highlife '08. He did. Darren's did not let him go to camp, and it was already the last day to sign up for camp and she did not change her mind. I knew god plans things at the perfect time. His mum suddenly let him go on that last day... God is GREAT!! Face it, God is real, and he waits for you to accept him.

Well atm i am still packing for camp! hehe... i wasted a whole day.. =.=" cause i am sick and really dun hav the energy to do anythign else... i hope i can make tomorrow a productive day :D

Heya all! Camp now in 2 days! yehaa! I am sick btw :( I got a cold lol...
The weekend has been pretty busy. Saturday i went to watch Kung fu Panda with Sunday school kiddies. It was hilarious! A fat panda being China's only hope to save the country- he uses his fat-ness to pwn the peoples! hahhaa!!! Yeh after that I went to the 'talent night' at church lol.. my dad pulled me to it hhaaa. It was pretty lame but i guess funny somehow. Kim Ooi ur ballet thingy was pretty awesome! Unlike many of the other performances, urs actually displayed some 'talent'. The other guys just copy from soemwhere lol.. u shoulda won! hahaa..

Sunday church as usual, and i went to play soccer after for like 2.5 hours lol.. I think i had a slight cold then but didnt feel sick.. i had at least 5 scoring opportunities lol.. thanks to mister zacky and his mhs friend :) Ty for u guys letting us have shots lol. i appreciate that...
After soccer i went to the cows house (keeeean) for some reason that i dun know... i was dead tired after that.,.. long day + soccer + a cold = gg!! I had to stay there till like 11 and by the time i got home i was so tired!!! wahH!! Well atm i am kinda sick..... I hope i get better before the camp lol... Well i better start packing lol...

Well it is important to know what the song is all about when u sing songs of praise and worship to God. The purpose of this song is mainly asking God to renew your passion (fire) for him. THe first line is pretty significant aswell. It says 'there must be more than this'. It is really sayign to God; Lord, I am not satisfied by the life I am living; I want to be more obedient, i want to live for you alone.

I reckon those are awesome lyrics, and would be awesome to make that your prayer for your life; to grow in faith and in Christ. It would be awesoem to do this song at camp lol, cause a passion for Christ is something we so desperately need, especially when there are so many other distractions in our lives. Well cya guys! God loves us not for what we do, or who we are; he loves us because thats who he is; he loves us unconditionally. Who am i- I am only one person that lives in this vast universe, yet God still watches out for us? We are like a flower quickly fading, meaning that we are here, then gone the next day, yet God's love still covers us? Lord no matter how much i stuff up, your always there for me, and I will live a life for you alone. God is great! HIGHLIFE '08! YAY! Its in 5 days! YehaHHAAA!!! K i am looking forward to see God move in me, but I remembered that those who are unfortunate and are not allowed to go, lets just pray for a breakthrough? Oh I just remembered aswell, I was praying for this dude in my school called Oliver, and I invited him to Fungus. He only came once, and didn't come for a while cause he appeared to have other commitments. He said he was gonna come last week, but didn't turn up. That lowered my hope. I wanted to ask him to come to camp that friday, but since he din come = gg! Luckily we can still apply for camp this week... I gave him a camp info thingy and told him a bit about what it was, and asked if he could come. He said it was unlikely, but today he came up to me and said he could come! how awesome is our God? I really wanna see him saved and hopefully also reach out to his family too, cause his mum seems to be bored a little. I wanna invite her to FGA lol. That would be awesome! I just will keep my trust in God, but not only that; I will step out in faith by doing my best to invite them to church and stuff, and God will do the rest ^^

Fasting

Heya guys! I just remembered that I wanted to fast prior the the Fungus camp! I gonna go hardcore style by fasting Facebook and computer games! I used to fast soft drinks, but I saw literally no benefits from it. Fasting facebook will allow me to spend more 'quiet time' each day, and will prepare my heart for the awesome Fungus camp!! ayyayayy! I am pretty excited i must admit lol. I reckon the purpose of fasting is to cut down on the things that separate you from God; eg, dota etc... I must say I sometimes I have put other things before God... like my computer.. forgive me Lord for my utter foolishness.

Well the reason why I reckon playing too much computer is cause it limits the time u spend with other people such as ur parents and friends. I really needa spend more time with my parents lol. They are a blessing I take for granted.....

Oh and I just wanna remind you guys about the awesome power of prayer. K here it goes... There is this kiddie called Seth in X-Site class who I reckon has a bit of a hardcore temper. Well i dun wanna go into much detail. He never seems to be happy or ever smiles. He always seems to cling onto Aunty Melinda and Uncle Mingliong ( I spelt it wrong lol...). I see them struggling to keep Seth occupied and happy for the 1.5 hours each week at sunday school. I decided I better step in.

I devoted some prayer time specially for him; to see a change in his life. I really believed that God was gonna work within him, and I trusted that I would see a breakthrough. Guess what happened next? :)

K as I saw him walk into sunday school that morning, I saw a bright smile across his face. I gave him special attention that SUnday to really share God's love with him. He behaved in a good manner for the rest of the lesson; well better than usual... At least he is improving lol.. i want to see God work in his life more. I was like" thankyou Lord!" See? Prayer is powerful. THe reason why I know it is definately the power of prayer is cause, Seth has been at sunday school for about 1 and a half years already. Each week he would behave in the same manner. But this week there was an obvious difference in his life, and it also happened to be the week I devoted a bit of my prayer for him. Remember to keep the kids in prayer as Sonja always says! WHy? cause it works!!!!

All it takes is faith and trust, then God takes over ^^ I am sure it was Gods will to make Seth a happy and cheerful kid, but we need to pray for things we want to see changed. If what you pray for doesn't come through, God either said 'wait' or simply 'no', cause he does whats best for you overall. Ask God to hold you in his hands and to do whats best for you; he will... as he always.. :)

HiiI! I realised I havn't blogged since wednesday! lol... well today was saturday! yay! I had school soccer match against marcellin. And of course, we got owned..... 9-0 we lost. well that was better than last time :) (13-0)
I had a run and shot, then after i scored, the ref called off side. =.="
I was like yyYYAYAYYA!! then :(
lmao... I was quite satisfied with my team, even though we lost so badly, cause we played really well and worked together and enjoyed ourselves. We had at least 3 easy shots at goals, but were unable to turn them into goals cause offside......

I sometimes imagine a care-bear national soccer team. They verse some team and lose like 100-0. (in professional league lmao!) Then the care bear granny says "at least we tried our best and enjoyed ourselves!!!" Yeh lame but randomly funny lol... Carebears are cool!! heheeee

Anyway i better get to sleepie now.... HIGHLIFE '08!! YEEEEEHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

Hi all! Today at school something pretty funny happened lol. Today I had the dreaded swimming session for Phys ed. We were doing some hardcore continuous laps then suddenly the fire bell went off. THat always happens btw lol. It was a practice drill, which we assumed it to be. We jumped out of the pool and were going to go in public wearing nothing but speedos.. =.="
Luckily our teacher was ncie and let us get changed first lol. We took at least 15 mins though. And if that had been a real fire we would have been stuffed. heeeee.. HIGHLIFE 08'!!! YEHAAA!! I am still pretty pumped lol. Remember to pray for those who can't come, and for the whole camp in general, that it would impact those who attend. Bye guys! Cya!!

Hey guys! I accidently logged off and lost my post, but I will type it again :)

I am really looking forward to the FUngus winter camp. I want to see God do amazing things beyond our imagination; I want to see him flip our lives over and change it completely. I believe that this is an awesome opportunity to grow in faith and make new covenants with him.

For those who can;t come, I reckon all it takes is faith and trust in God that he will make the right decision for you and will let u come if it is his will to. He can pull you out of tight situations you may be facing, or those you may seem hopeless, just believe that he can, then I am sure you won't be disgraced from the outcome; whether u end up coming or not. I pray that you guys can come along. Anyway i better get to sleep now..... bye all!!

FUngus Camp!

Hey all! I know its great that we can all go on the fungus camp!! Its an opportunity to really set us on fire for christ again! I wish my passion could last forever.... heheee

We are lucky to be able to go to camp. THere are many who also can't come to the camp cause they not allowed. Remember to keep them in constant prayer against their setbacks and to be given the chance to grow in faith. Well i better go now guys! Cyaz!

Soccer! yay!

Hi!! Soccer is pretty tiring I must admit! lol. After church today I went to play soccer at Aqualink. I scored 6 goals i think! To be honest; luck explains why. I just got lucky hehee. My awesome team set up those goals for me! Ty Zacky, Daniel, Keith, Hamus tha tank, Darrell, And all the subs and other guys too! I didn't deserve the glory lol. U guys did all the work! Gratz! I am sore :) lol.

Be a man... do the right thing!

Sup alL! I just came back from Westfield lol.. its so awesome now! got asian shops now too! lol... azn pride! Its really new and shiny! yeh I only go cause shiny! Shiny stuff pwns!

Well i better get to the topic: Be a man, do the right thing. This is one of the few times that Russel Peters' quotes actually are true lol. I quite agree, to be a man is to do the right thing.

Being a man is not beating someone up... or bagging nerds and being cool; its discipline. To the the right thing requires vast self-control and maturity. A man is courteous, caring, considerate etc... not rude or disrespectful.

I also wanted to bring up the point of 'two-faces' For example:

Your at church serving at SUnday school and worshiping God. You behave in a really good manner being polite to those you see and seem to be a very nice person.

Its a normal weeknight at home. Your mum doesn't let u watch too much tv today cause she wants you to sleep early or something. You crack up and complain and ask why. She clearly explains why but u keep on bugging her. Is that the right thing to do? Well this is an example of kind of hiding your true being. It pisses me off to be honest. But don't worry about others too much. The only one who is never fooled is God. He sees right into our hearts. Just make sure that does not accurately describe u in any way. Live for him in everything you do, wherever you are, and at all times of the week.

I also got somethign else to add. THis shows your true being too; when things don't go your way. I know many who are so happy when things are going the way they want. WHen they recieve what they want and when things are sound. They appear to be quite nice people. But when times are not so good, when your tired or annoyed, when you don't get treated fairly or when things don't go your way, many behave in a totally different way. They start to get a temper and answer others rudely. I don't want to contradict anyone, but I advise you to make sure that that does not describe you. There is nothing more rewarding than serving God in all you do. It is truly satisfying.

Sup all! Today I am pretty annoyed cause my soccer coach is so tight! I got a friday detention! wahH! My first ever detention lol.... this is how it goes:

Last friday I had exams. We are expected to go to sports meetings as we play matches every saturday. I completely forgot about it and arrived 5 mins late. By then the teacher had gone.

My soccer team has around 17 people. Only about 13 are expected to come to the saturday matches and the others can relax. When we go to the meetings, the people who are there are then told if they are playing or not. Yes so I was not there, therefore I dun know why he put me on the list. I was actually expected to play on saturday even i was not there. If i was not at school that day, I still would have received a detention... lameness?

Anyway, I shouldn't be annoyed too much.. luckily my mum didn't get pissed... its only 1 and a half hour of boringness i gues.... cept my reputation as a 'nerd' is now wrecked.... :(
lol... at my school it is an insult to punish a nerd ^^ lmao

Forgiveness

Hey guys! Hope ur benefiting from my blogs! :) TOday I gonna discuss a pretty important topic about forgiveness. Many think its an easy, simple, one way thing;

you ask god to forgive u,then ur forgived.

Well its not like that. The bible clearly says, if you don't forgive others, god wont forgive u. Well thats one part, heres another: when you pray, you must be truly sorry, and not only say so, but show that your sorry by trying your best to change. You must also humble yourselves before him to firstly admit you've done wrong, then ask him for forgiveness. Thankfully god is a god of grace and mercy, and forgives your sins even though u dun deserve it.

Sin separates us from God. It is like a barrier and because of it, we don't hear gods call or receive his blessings and rewards as abundantly.

Aww what else was i gonna say? i forgot lol... =.="

Well yash. Sometimes we may make ourselves think that the things we do are ok, but if you honestly, honestly look at the situation and your actions, you would shamefully admit that its wrong? Well i'll give u an example:

You cheat in a test, then you think to yourself "God won't really mind too much. I can give him the glory when I get my awesome test result." You then clear that issue from your mind and keep on living your life as if it were normal, and keep on doing things you presume to me 'ok'. (Soz! I couldnt think of a better example lol..."

This is when things start to dangerous; the point where you sin, but don't really realist your sinning. Cause how can u admit your wrong and ask for forgiveness when you think you din do anything really too wrong? As this occurs more often, it can really get worse. You keep on sinning and getting further away from god. Now that is bad. This is where you need to be humble, by saying that you've done wrong.

Oh and this is directly out of the bible; a perfect scripture to explain this topic.

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face., then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin."

God will only forgive u if u follow these instructions from him.

Please excuse my crappy english cause i dun edit this lol. Straight from my mind to the keyboard... lol... i guess u get an honest view...

More than blessed

Heya peeps! Hope ur enjoying school! Nearly holidays! yay! Well I just wanted to remind you and myself how blessed we are. The fact that we have a ever so faithful and loving God already makes us more than blessed- agreed? Well I reckon thats true. Did u know God even considers the poor more than blessed? - well thats cause they have that gift of Christ too.... anyway, there are so many things I could thank God for; a house, a school, a loving family, awesome friends, a great church.... the list goes on.

That really does leave us no good reason to complain about anything I guess..... Just be thankful for what we have, and life will be much happier for yourself, and others. :)

Today was an awesome day at school, where God really reminded me that he was in control of everything that happens in my life.

Well this is what happened; the usual school issues.... =.=
This sounds the same every time, its the same scenarios, but it shows how loving and faithful God really is.

I din do my hw..... again!! and there; teacher extended it AgaIN!! Today I was also feeling rather tired, so soccer training was canceled! yay! And my most feared part of the week; swimming tomorow for pe..... Its also canceled! yay!! God is great! I din even pray for him to walk with me, but he did anyway! Thankyou lord for your unfailing love that is never ending!

Worship =)

Hi peeps! Yesterday at the fungus/101 meeting we explored worship in more depth. It was pretty awesome message and I reckon it was a breakthrough in many of our lives, as we worshiped God with more meaning and with sincerity. There are 3 ways that we can worship:

Firstly, we can worship God in words, like singing songs to him.

We can also worship God in the things that we do, by glorifying him and living our lives for him. I think this is the most challenging and best way to worship God, by actions, not only words.

And lastly, which is a rare occasion, when God appears before us and we worship because he is there with us. I mean he actually comes in a visible form or you may hear a voice that is actually real. Here we kinda have no choice but to worship him. He exposes himself to us, quite obviously, and changes our lives forever by securing our faith in him.

Long weekend!! yay! The queen is now cool because of that! ^^

Hi!

Hey peeps! Today i will blog about something that you can benefit from! I gonna try to quit facebooking... it consumes time surprisingly fast! gah! Stuff u facebook! lol...

As more mature Christians, we may sometimes think that the Ten Commandments which we learnt way back when we were little kids may no longer be relevant, but it is. I picked up a book I saw in my room that was for like 5 year olds and decided to flick through it. i was surprised how much i learnt from it lol. Lemme note some points I noticed:

1st Commandment: You shall have no Gods other than me:
Some of you may think literally bowing down and worshiping Buddha for example is breaking this rule. Well yes it is, but there is much more to it. I used to think it was a narrow limitation but it really includes playing too much computer or facebooking too much, and ur practically asleep when ur reading the bible and praying, then that is no good. It is putting other 'gods' before him and therefore breaking the first commandment. Seems weird eh? Well its easy to sin and it takes discipline to resist the temptation to do so.

2nd Commandment: You can't have any idols:
THis is kinda simmilar to the first commandment, putting things before God, rather than giving him your praise and the glory he deserves. Eg as before: Playing too much facebook.

3rd Commandment: Don't use God's name in vain
This is kinda straight foward, dont say 'oh my god'. Its amazing how many CHristians say that when they are pissed or as a reaction when they scared. Get out of that habit say something else, because you would be disrespecting God.

4th COmmandment: Remember the sabbath day and keep it holy:
MAny may think it means simply dont do work on the Sabbath, which I unfortunately do. Homework lah! But I think that that is ok, cause the word says not to do unnecessary work. Sunday should be a day where we honour the Lord and spend time with him. I really think i should try not to play games on that day....

5th Commandment: Honour your father and mother:
I think this may be a little struggle for some of you to honour your parents. Did you know honouring your parents is not only just being polite to them? It is more than that; it is obeying them and sincerely caring about them. Eg, you could honour your parents by offering them to wash the dishes. Obedience also slips into this category. Obedience is an extremely important thing. If you don't think so, now you know it is. Eg: Your mum says to sleep by 10. You only sleep at maybe 10.05. Don't hide it, tell your mum and confess. I am sure God will reward you for your obedience and your mum will just let it go.

6th Commandment: Thou Shalt not kill:
DOn't kill. It doesn;t only mean murder. Did you know bagging someone or racism is kinda considered killing? It kills them emotionally, not necessarily physically. \

7th commandment: DOnt commit adultery:
It refers to marriage and also other things. Don't marry and divorce your spouse for another man/woman. DOn't watch porn.

8th Commandment: DOn't steal
Stealing is many things. Not only is it maybe stealing money from someone, but cheating in a test is stealing. It steals their knowledge that you never had, undeserved marks for yourself.

Or maybe you get paid yo do chores around the house. You may be tired and cbs doing a good jon so u just rush it and take the cash= stealing.

9th commandment: DOn't lie
Telling lies range from many things. THose of you who believe 'white lies' are ok, well the bible says they are not. It is a lie nevertheless. Do you make commitments to God and forget about them and not keep them? Do you make excuses for things that you did that you try to escape from? These are lies even they may not seem like them.

10th commandment: DOn't want something someone else has.
I personally don't exactly understand it much myself, but i will try to explain what i think it is.

It means don't want skills someone else has, or a new ipod thta you friend just got. Focus on all the blessings God has given you and develop your life without comparing yourself to others.


These 10 commandments can be practically summarized into 2 commandments:

Love the lord with all your heart
The reason why this is one of the two most important commandments is because if you truly live God with all your heart, you would follow the other ten commandments. Eg: Dont lie, dont steal etc....

Love your neighbour as much as yourself:
THis is simmilar to the first one. If you loved your neighbour sincerely, you wouldnt steal from them, nor would u lie to them.


So then why should we follow these commandments?
SImply because God will reward us with various blessings if we remain faithful to him.


Long blog eh? Its surprising how many of these rules we break in our daily lives. Live for God and worship him in everything that you do! God bless!

Exams are over! yay! That means total slack off now! hheheeee. But I thank God for walking with me through all my situations. I actually din revise much for my english or History exams to be honest. I found the English one quite fun! I think I passed! :)
And for history = gg lol

Final exams

Hi everyone! i am a hardcore blogger lol. I think nearly everyday! yay! My final exams are tomorrow! as u can see, i am blogging, when my exams which i din revise for are tomorrow!!!! heheheheeheheh!! I actually deserve to fail.... buy anyway, i better get revising. Life's still easy, cause i hav time to blog during exam period. THats cause i cant concentrate for so many hours! ....
