hi everyone! lol... my laptop battery gonna die in 4 mins. Better blog quick lol. Today was a fun day at school lol. I got my results for an Indo test and my english essay back. For those who don't know. My English is crap lol. Thats why i wanna do Esl! hehehehe...

Well i got 18/20 for my essay (A), and i got 49/50 for my Indo test. lol. I gotta confess i din revise!! How i get those marks; I dunno. Luck maybe>? lol.

Fungus-oids :)

hihi everyone! lol... Fungusoids is a cool name lol... Sure Fungus is cool. I agree...., but for what reason? Is it cool cause ur friends go there? Is it cool cause the atmosphere is nice? Is it cool cause they got an awesome band? lol.... There are many reasons why we might go to Fungus every friday, but honestly, how much do you really go there to seek God?

Lets put it like this; all your friends play Futsul/Dota/Go Box Hill every week on the same night as Fungus/Church. Which one would you go to? This refers to every week btw. Do you go to Fungus cause ur friends are there, and it is fun talking to them? Or do you go there cause u love God with all your heart and want to spend time with him?

I can honestly say that only until quite recently, I have been going to church and Fungus for the wrong reason. I used to go there cause it was fun. I used to go there because the people there are cool. (They still are!) Go to Fungus to worship God and to draw nearer to him. The friends and other stuff are bonuses.

Inside Out

Hey peeps! I wanted to blog on one of my favorite songs by Hillsong. I thought about all the bad things I had done in my past, and then this song suddenly popped into my head. The first line goes:

"A thousand times I fail, still your mercy remains, and should I stumble again; still I'm caught in your grace." - No matter how many times we stuff up, and no matter what we do, god's mercy remains and he gives us another opportunity to repent. Oh and I just wanted to tell you something I learnt while doing devotions at camp a few weeks ago. Every sin in God's eyes are equal. To him, even a little lie is just as bad as killing someone; it is still a sin. So don't think some sins are worse or not so bad as others, cause I know people who take some of Gods commandments more lightly than other commandments.

SUp peeps! yesterday was pretty fun i gotta say lol.... After an unusual day at school full of music rehersals for concert on thurdsday, i went to Alpha. I learnt heaps in that session. heres a quick overview of yesterday's lesson:

We learnt about the devil. Yeh just as i said awhile ago in my blog, he is not some weak noop. He is powerful, pretty powerful. The only one who is all-powerful and all-knowing is our God. Satan is strong, but God is stronger. From Highlife camp and the little green man, I remembered that verse; John 10.10, cause i keep on hearign it alll the tiem lol. The devil comes to steal kill and destroy. He tries to deceive us and draw us away from God by temptation to sin and other stuff like that. Because of this, we have to put on the armor of God and stand strong.

This is found in Ephesians 6. It contains this:

The belt of truth- Know that Jesus is the only truth, and trust in him with all you do. Know that his is all powerful, loving, wise and holy.

The breastplate of righteousness- Jesus set us free from all our shame. he took it all up on the cross. The devil tries to remind us on our sinful and hard past; we are freed by the blood of Christ.

The helmet of salvation- God's promise of eternal life and salvation.

The shield of faith- Have faith in God who walks with you through hard times; you block the 'flaming arrows' of evil with it.

The sword of the spirit- Basically the bible. Know God's promises by reading. If there is any book in the world that is true, the Bible is the only book that is 100% correct. God himself really wrote it through his disciples.

Sandals of peace/readiness- Share about the gift of Christ with others.

Much can be learnt from Alpha lol... Qynn and Vernis are awesome teachers lol.
Don't worry about if the devil trys to harm you, just make sure you have the amour of God equipped and stay close to him.

Yeh soccer yesterday was pretty cool and funny at the same time. heaps of innocent people kept on getting hit on the head by the 'less than accurate' shots from people lol.... I think i scored 2 goals. My team was cool lol. We had an awesome wninning streak at one point. But the funniest moment of the day:

Lol i just rememebred about wat i was gonna blog about.

Thanks to Mr Tool's blogger, I was reminded that if we really want soemthign to happen, we need to fight for it (not in violent way ^^) Yeh when Darren couldn't go to camp, Isaac reminded him that he had to fight for it if he really wanted to come. So he had a thorough discussion of why he wanted to go, then he was finally allowed to come.

God fights with you, not for you. When we pray, for example, for our friends to come to Christ, we need to do our bit by telling them about the gift of Christ. God will then do the rest. That tells God that you have faith in him. But not all the time if u want something and u fight for it, u will necessarily get it. If it is not best for you, God won't let u hav it. It is because he loves you, thats why he doesn't let u hav whatever you desire, as we make wrong choices soemtimes.

True Worship

Hey peeps! I probably blogged about this heaps of times, but i wanted to again :)
Sure at church we all sing worship to God like 'Jesus I will live for you in everythign I do'. That line alone means heaps. It is a big commitment and task. I know many who say that but when they live their usual lives, God is not being honored or respected by the thigns they do.

You don't have to be good at singing to worship, or do you have to lift your hands up. It is good too, but when God looks at you, he looks at your heart. Worship him however is best for you. This may be lifting your hands, kneeling, or jumping etc..

Another form of worship could be respecting God's commandments, and following them obediently. So wherever you are, at whatever time, you can worship him in everythign you do. Words don't mean as much as actions. But that does not mean worship songs are not as effective, its kinda givign him the glory he deserves. I keep on forgetting on what i was gonna blog about lol... Fungus :)

Hi peeps! Soz i havnt blogged in a while. yesterday I was kinda sick and din go to school... i was planning to go at lunch time but somehow I didn't...

Fungus yesterday was aimed specifically at the concept of sex/ porn and relationships. I honestly believe that is the thing people nowadays struggle with the most. Whenever I am at school all i hear people talking about is porn =.=" Its really annoying......

The next Fungus rally is called something like the 'crazy sex rally'? I think something like that lol... that will probably boost the attendance numbers. lol... Well people nowadays abuse the gift of sex. God created it as a reward after marriage. It kinda means 2 people are now 1? lol i dunno much about it... But anyway.... I kinda found out that when u are looking for a relationship, dun get to the physical stuff.. u know what i am talking about lol... i dun need to describe further lol....
Yeh dun make your relationship a thoroughly physical and romantic one at the start, cause u won't really get to see what the person is like on the inside. You tend to judge them by their physical appearance. Those are the relationships that are usually unsuccessful, and someone ends up getting mentally hurt.

So what u should do:
When you look for a partner, look for friendship. By doing that, you get to know what a person is really like. If there is something you don't like in that person, it will probably be noticed, and you can stop that relationship when it is still early. And if you find the right partner, the relationship will probably last.

To find the perfect partner:
Stuff all those pointless internet soulmate stuff, cause the real way to find the right partner is to live accordingly to God's will. What he wants you to do, you do. By staying close to him and turning to him for help and guidance, you are sure to find a good partner. You can also talk to ur pastors, parents and close friends for advice i guess... Thanks Zacky, ur an awesome cell leader! I learn heaps from ur wisdom!

Enough; more than enough

Hey peeps! I've noticed that it is human nature to have generally unlimited wants. When we get something we've wanted, we want something else. I remember when my mum used to buy me potato chips only for a treat. I was so happy and appreciative for that. Now she buys them regularly. I am less appreciative for it now... =.=" *Sigh* SOmetimes I wish I had nothing so I could learn to appreciate what I have.

Life is much better when we are thankful for what we have, rather than complaining about something we don't have. It will make you, and those around you happy when we learn how to appreciate. So I thank God for all he has given me. Truly every good thing I have comes from him. I am more than blessed. 'Enough' is an awesome song by my favorite artist; Chris Tomlin. I wanted to share about its significance to me. Here are the lyrics:

This song generally says how God is really all we need, and should be all we want. His love satisfies all our needs, and all we have in him is more than enough. Praise God for all he has given us! Did you know that the poor are also considered 'more than blessed'? Weird eh? But true, cause to have an awesome God like our god, it is definitely an awesome blessing.

Mom's Birthday! ^^

Hi peeps! I gotta say that school is pretty tiring! lol....

Tomorrow is my mum's birthday! I love my mum, but at times I take my parents for granted. Though she may not be perfect, I gotta say that she does heaps for me, and makes many sacrifices for me. I honestly am blessed to have a parent like that. I remember when she went to Singapore for 1 week, I was really missing her lol. Even the small things she does, I now realize how much they mean.

On peoples birthday u usually be nice to them right? I reckon that is cool, but to make my mum have a good birthday, not only should I be nice on that particular day, but the whole year round. That is true appreciation, and I hope to be more like that. Tomorrow I gonna make breakky for her before I go to school ^^ lol.... I guess I also will take her out for dinner too :)

I'm tired lol.... I guess i better sleep :D

School! WeEEE!

Sup peeps! This is the first proper post on my new pimped blogger! yay!

TOday was the first day of school term 3 for me. lol... I was intending to sleep at 9.30 pm yesterday, but i didn;t get to sleep till 12 =.= lol..... i like my sleepie :) When I dun sleep enough I get really tired.

Each day on the holidays I probably slept 12 hours average lol.... So when i suddenly woke up at 7 am, sleeping only 7 hours, my eyes could barely stay open lol....

Yesterday when reading the bible, I stumbled across this pretty useful fact. A while ago i blogged about how some Christians always get persecuted for their faith. At the moment we are kinda living in a dark world; one that is really far from God. So how are we expected to survive all this stuff?

God is always in control of your life. He knows everything that you go through, and everything you do. God does not promise an easy life as a Christian, but he does promise to be with you forever. Don't be worried about things that might happen to you if you step out in faith, or how to defend yourself when persecuted, but stay faithful to God, and he will deal with it all.

Keep that fire burning for him, and take a step of faith in your life; one out of your comfort zone, then God can move powerfully through you. Maybe it might be inviting someone to Fungus. They probably might bagg you about it, but trust that God knows your faithfulness, and will probably reward you.

People that live really sinful lives; do you get disgusted by their behavior? Remember, some of you were probably non-believers and far from God. How can you expect a normal person to be any better? If they accept Christ, I am sure their life will flip around, just like mine did. So instead of ditching people that sin heaps, why not share the love of Christ with them?

Holidays....

Hi peeps! Holidays over for me now lol.... I got a sore head :) Oh well lol....

Yesterday I went to Box Hill to celebrate my mom's birthday. It was a new shop called Beijing House (2 doors down from Tea House). The dumplings are so good! Bite it and all the juice squirts out lol... THey are really crispy too :) We also watched a movie at home called Enchanted. It may seem childish like every other fairy tale, but to be honest, I thought it was pretty good!

I done my hw for the holidays already lol.. I only got 1 essay and that was all! Lucky eh?

Heya peeps! School is starting again tomorrow for most peeps! NoO!O I start in tuesday btw ^^
My holidays have been really relaxing... Now i gotta get back into my work mode lol... i really dunno why i think i hav heaps of work, cause when i look at my life, i hav so much spare time lol... so i guess i am lucky still :) all u guys in year 11/12/uni hav heaps of work lol.. lemme help u with ur hw ^^

Today I went to church as usual. We were gonna go to hav sunday school in the park, but it was canceled and changed to a movie day. Praise God for that! Cause today i am not feeling too well... I have a headache lol.... i hope i get better before school llol..

The highlight of my holidays is definately the Highlife. It was life-changing! It was a significant event that I will never forget. It really restored my passion and love for God. When I look back at my life, I have been a 'christian' for about 6 years i think. I wouldn't really consider myself a Christian until probably last year. My actions were sinful and wrong, and I barely had any relationship with God at all... All those years I had been at sunday school and church, and I never applied anything I learnt to my life?

I think since I took up the leadership role at FGA Kids, and attended Fungus, my walk with God was real. I honestly think that sunday school/church in those days did not really help me with my faith. It was those people who were on fire for god that really inspired me to give my life to god also. So if u really want to win someone over for god, show a good example to them.

I feel tired lol.... gonna sleep lol... bye peeps! Enjoy school! God bless!

Fungus!!! weeeEE!

Hi peeps! Fungus is cool :) Just to remind you, u dun need to wait for big events like camp or Planetshakers for God to do something in your life. He can change you even on weekly FUngus or church, and even at home! wow! Our god is an awesome God! He is still there wherever you are.

I was looking forward to yesterday's Fungus. I was expecting God to somehow move in our lives. I hope that even at a common, weekly Fungus, you will never walk out as the same person. Even if u just change a tiny bit, that is still better than nothing. I reckon what makes a youth-group/ church great is not how holy they are, but how much they can change in their lives.

Unfortunately I was kinda sick again yesterday =.=" It was a little hard to stay concentrated during worship, cause I was feeling pretty tired... But, I remembered that I can still worship him at home, and in other ways such as the life I am living. I reckon actions are more powerful than words. I know how many people say in those worship songs like "Lord, nothing else could ever take your place", but when they live their life, computers for example control them, thus making it more important than God. I must shamefully admit I have been in that situation a couple of times.

Yesterday we learnt about i think "Dirty little secrets". The most common secrets at our age i reckon is porn, lies, alcohol and smoking. We kinda also had a discussion about lies. I used to lie to my parents sometimes, but now I realize it is better to tell the truth.

I used to have computer/games limits; half an hour each day. I sometimes went over my limit and lied to my parents that I kept within my allowance. If I exceeded my allowed time, I would be punished. The reasons why we shouldn't lie are; even though our parents might never find out, God always knows. And secondly, I believe that God rewards us for our honesty and truthfulness, and numerous times when I admitted I had disobeyed my parents, they said it didn't matter, and did not apply any punishments. God is great! Remember, always tell the truth.

And with secrets.... if u keep a secret sin to yourself that you are constantly doing, it is not a good situation to be in. Firstly, even if it is a small, innocent sin, it will lead to a bigger problem, and get worse. If you let someone know about it, they can be there for u and remind u not to do that anymore. It is always good to have a friend that cares for you, and is constantly watching out for u.

I was reading the bible last night, and stumbled across a particularly important thing. Did you know that the devil is always trying to destroy our lives? He is not some weak noob, but he is actually pretty strong. He does things like tempting us to do wrong, and encouraging sinful ways. Luckily, we have a god who is stronger than him, and can help us resist temptation to sin.

The devil doesn't bother some Christians. Like those believers that go along with the crowd and keep quiet about their relationship with Jesus. Those who go and share their faith with others are the ones who get persecuted. Maybe start witnessing to your friends, and inviting them to Fungus? There is a pretty high chance you will face opposition, but that tells you that you are annoying the devil, meaning that you are a spiritual success!

Don't be discouraged if things go terribly wrong in your life, cause God walks with you the whole way. He won't let anything really bad happen to you; but he allows Satan to tempt you and do bad things to you, only to a certain extent though. Get out there and tell the world about the awesome free gift of salvation and be prepared to get persecuted! Get closer to god, and he will protect you wherever you are!

Hey guys! U know why I am allocating a whole post just for an ordinary, weekly Fungus session? - Cause I believe there is the potential for God to move at any normal Fungus, as powerfully as he did at the Highlife camp last week. As i mentioned before, God is always the same; he never changes. His love is the same, his mercy is the same, his power is still the same.

If we open our hearts, and have a sheer passion for his name, God will move mightily. So tomorrow and always, lets really be open to the message ahead of us, and get our flame burning for him. Give God ur all and worship him with all your heart; not only tomorrow or at big events, but every day you live. I forgot to mention but God can also move in ur daily lives at home too :)

Holidays!

Hi peeps! Its amazing how i get so little done in so much time on the holidays lol.... I havnt started my holiday homework and the holidays are nearly over! lollolol.....

Today i went to help clean up/ rearrange the sunday school classrooms. Me and mister Goh practically cleaned up the whole store room and n-gauge classroom, while the other peeps did the x-site one. Franny is obsessed with fire lol... in her spare time she burns things. ^^
At least one day of my hols were useful.... lol.... not including the awesome Highlife camp last week! Booyah! Well i gonna get on with my work lol... i am currently working on a blog about the camp, but i wont get it done for a while lol.. its pretty long.... well bye peeps! The Highlife!

Sup guys! Highlife camp is over, but the Highlife isn't! Booyah! I have to say it is wayy harder to be constantly on fire for God when we are living our usual lives, full of distractions and temptations... but I just wanted to remind you that God is not only a god of camps and cool events like those, but a god of everywhere and all days. He is the same today, yesterday and forever.

I believe he can move just as powerfully at a normal Fungus session, as he did at camp. It just requires us to seek him with a humble and hungry heart. I hope that we would not go back and live our normal, sinful lives, but stick with the change and commitments we made at the Highlife camp. We can still live out the Highlife we were made for anywhere! Praise God! Well i currently blogging about the camp in more depth, but it will take a while lol.. its really long. Bye! Continue to burn with passion for Christ!

Sup guys! I went to BoxHill with my mom and bro lol... I saw some pretty freaky stuff!

After dinner at Blue Hills, on the way back to the car we always pass by this shop called 'Club X'. It is some 'adult shop'. Keean once told me that his dad thought it was a restaurant and asked him if he wanted to eat there... lol.... Well i saw these guys going into the shop, and it is usually empty. They were an old couple! like 60-70 years old! I am surprised and a little sad to see how those guys can be so horny... =.="

I also saw this old man carrying a samaurai sword.. lol... i gotta watch Alvin and the Chipmunks now ^^ bye! awesome soundtrack! lol>!!!

HIGHLIFE '08!!

Heya guys! CAmp is today! lol... my bro and mum are still sleeping :)
I dunno why but i woke up too early and couldnt get back to sleep...... the excitement lol.... its camp duH!

Yeh i spent ages yesterday praying for the camp... i know its gonna be awesome; not only fellowship, but I believe that God will do something special. I hope that it can be something that re-lights our passion for Christ, and usually, my 'fire' doesnt last for too long, but I hope that the camp will change us not only for the week, but for the days to come.

HIGLIFE '08!

Heya! Well camp is tomorrow! yay! My last 2 days hav gone quite fast and nothing much has happened lol... well yesterday I was ill and the day was kinda nothing.. today i went to get some stuff for camp. Loads of lollies, food etc... I havnt started packing yet lol.. it will only take 2 hours max anyway... I gotta get packing then! bye!!

I hope to see god transform our lives as we go to this camp... heeee... Give him space in ur lives to move, then i guess he will move within u.. bye!!
